The AIS700 from Raymarine is a Class B Automatic Identification System (AIS) transceiver designed for use with Raymarine multifunction navigation display systems. AIS is an international marine navigation safety system that allows participating vessels to silently exchange key navigation information including vessel name, identification, course, speed and more. AIS contacts can be displayed on Raymarine multifunction displays, chartplotters, radar displays and select instruments. As a Class B AIS transceiver, the AIS700 not only receives broadcasts from other vessels, it also transmits your own boat’s information too helping you to be seen on other vessels’ systems.
The AIS700 is engineered using the very latest SO-TDMA (Self Organized Time Division Multiple Access) networking technology which allows it to perform faster and at longer ranges than d speed over previous generation AIS products. For ease-of-installation, the AIS700 has a built in VHF-band antenna splitter which allows it to share a single antenna with your current VHF radio. AIS700 also has its own internal, dedicated 72-channel GPS receiver with external antenna as required by international standards.
AIS700 also supports both hardware and software-enabled Silent Mode. This allows you to temporarily restrict broadcasting your vessels own data, while continuing to receive updates from surrounding traffic. Silent Mode can be particularly useful when transiting waters where extra security is a concern, or even in competitive tournament scenarios when you might want to prevent other from finding out the location of the hot bite. Normal AIS safety broadcasts can be easily reinstated with a few simple touches of the AIS controls in your Raymarine MFD, or with the flip of a switch for hardware-silenced systems.
The AIS700 is super-compact for easy mounting inside your helm, in a service locker, or other out-of-the-way location. It can connect to your other onboard electronics using the latest NMEA2000 networking. AIS700 also has a built-in NMEA0183 multiplexer to assist in connecting it to older MFD’s and VHF radio systems. AIS700 also has a built-in USB 2.0 connection that can be used to tie the transceiver into a computer or laptop running AIS compatible navigation software. AIS700 has a Secure Digital (SD) memory slot that can be fitted with an owner-suppled flash memory card for continuous recording of the AIS data stream.
Features:
Full transmit and receive AIS for enhanced situational awareness and safety
Latest SO-TDMA networking for longer range and faster performance
Built-in antenna splitter simplifies installation with existing VHF radio antenna
NMEA2000, NMEA0183, PC and SeaTalkng Compatible

iAISTX Class B Wireless Transponder
iAISTX has been designed specifically for the growing number of boaters who use an iPad or Android tablet for their navigation tasks. As a full function Class B transponder, it sends your boat position and identity data to other AIS equipped vessels as well as providing a wireless interface for mobile devices with popular apps to display received data from other AIS equipped vessels.
iAISTX creates a secure, password protected, local Wi-Fi network which allows AIS and GPS data to be sent to popular iOS and Android apps such as Navionics, iSailor, Weather4D, SailGrib, iNavX, TimeZero and more. These apps offer a detailed overlay of local AIS targets all updated in real-time. Depending upon the app, you can click on a target and can see identity as well as collision avoidance data such as CPA (closest point of approach) and TCPA (time to closest point of approach).
AIS transponders require one time programming with the boat’s identity and physical dimensions and this is done through a simple, embedded web interface via the tablet’s browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.). This can also be used to silence the transmission and set up wireless parameters such as passwords. Installation is simple – just connect power (12/24v), mount the supplied external GPS antenna and connect to a separate dedicated VHF antenna or to the boat’s existing VHF antenna using our SPL1500 or SPL2000 AIS-VHF antenna splitters.
If you also want to get AIS data on to your MFD (chart plotter), then we recommend the iAISTX Plus which includes an additional NMEA 2000 interface.
Features:
Class B AIS transponder with WiFi interface for phones, tablets, iPads and PCs
Support for all the latest target types such as ATONs and AIS MOB devices
Latest HF AIS technology for superior performance
UDP and TCP/IP protocols supported for up to 7 connected devices
Password protected, secure wireless connection
Internal wifi antenna will typically footprint a boat up to 60ft in length
Supplied with external GPS antenna and 10m (33ft) cable which can be deck mounted or fitted to standard 1” mount
Compatible with 100s apps. See our reviews at www.digitalyacht.net
LED status indicators for wireless connection, data, status, time out, power and silent mode

SmartFind M10 Class B Transponder
The McMurdo SmartFind M10 AIS Class B Transponder, part of McMurdo's new range of innovative AIS products, is perfect for smaller non SOLAS vessels, where the complexity of a Class A Transponder is not necessary. It transmits vessel position information as well as receiving all AIS targets within 20 miles of the boat, typical. Using the built-in GPS receiver, the SmartFind M10 determines position, speed and course, and once this is combined with other navigational information, it is automatically transmitted without any user interaction. When received by other vessels and coast stations, the data built up to provide a live graphical display of traffic in the area.
Engineered for flawless integration with navigation systems, the SmartFind M10 supports NMEA2000 and NMEA0183 output, meets IEC 62287 and related standards
Benefiting from an SD card slot, the SmartFind M10, can be quickly and easily used as a data recorder, enabling the capture of all messages - to assist in system and safety monitoring, including incident investigation. Recorded data is logged and stored.
The `Silent' option, allows the user to temporarily stop the broadcast of identifying information on occasions where either privacy or security is required.

AISnode NMEA 2000 Boat AIS Class B Receiver
AISnode is the first AIS Receiver to be designed exclusively for NMEA 2000. With a single, integral 0.75m NMEA 2000 cable that takes power from the network and outputs the AIS data on to the network, the AISnode is incredibly easy to install. Just find or fit a spare NMEA 2000 "T Piece", screw the AISnode cable to the connection, connect a VHF antenna and the installation is complete.
Utilizing the same high performance, true dual channel receiver that our latest Class B Transponders have, AISnode will receive every AIS equipped vessel within VHF range and never miss or drop a single target. All of the latest NMEA 2000 AIS message types are supported, including AIS SARTs, AtoNs and Class B static data, ensuring full compatibility with all of the latest AIS enabled chart plotters.
NMEA 2000 is becoming more and more popular on new boats and nearly all new chart plotters have an NMEA 2000 interface, with one or two models only providing an NMEA 2000 interface. With its reliability, easy plug and play connectivity and industry standard compatibility, it is not surprising why NMEA 2000 is gradually replacing the older NMEA0183 standard.
The AIT2000 and AIT3000 Class B Transponders already provide NMEA 2000 connectivity but not all customers want the extra expense of purchasing and installing a transponder and for small chart plotters an AIS receiver is still a popular choice.
